                        The History of the Mill....

                        Heckington windmill was first built in 1830 by Edward Ingledew of Gainsborough for Michael Hare as a five sailed mill.......

                        The Working Windmill....

                        When operational the mill has 2 sets of stones that grind locally grown wheat into flour.  Millers are volunteers who can.........

                        The Friends of Heckington Windmill....

                        A group of friendly and dedicated people run the mill on a voluntary  basis.  Members get free entry to .....

                        The Bakehouse....

                        Plans are in the early stages to convert the original bakehouse ....
