2013 Events

MAY
Open Bank Holiday Weekend
4th, 5th & 6th May
12noon - 5pm all weekend
Baking Demonstrations every day between 1pm - 3pm.


NATIONAL MIILLS WEEKEND
11th & 12th May
Read More HereFay will be holding baking demonstrations in the mill on Saturday and Sunday 1 – 3pm.  
Visitors will also be able to watch work being carried out on one set of mill stones on Saturday in preparation for milling later in the year.


LINCOLNSHIRE HERITAGE DAY
Sunday 19th May 11am – 4pm
Visit our stall at the Lincolnshire Heritage Day which is being held the Stamford’s Art Centre, Broad Street, Stamford 


Open BANK HOLIDAY Weekend
25th, 26th & 27th May 
12noon - 5pm all weekend


JUNE
ARMED FORCES DAY
29th & 30th June 
We will be participating in the Armed Forces Day and giving free access to the mill for serving members of the Armed Forces and Veterans (normal opening hours).

JULY
Summer Opening Hours Start - Open Every Day - 12noon - 5pm

8 Sail Facts

Heckington windmill played a key role in a Guinness World Record for the fastest produced loaf of bread.
 
In 1992 the bakers in the village took standing wheat from field to table, via the mill - just 21 minutes!
