The Bakehouse

Picture
The old bakehouse
Plans are in the very early stages for the conversion of the old bakehouse into a baking school.

Regular demonstrations take place in the windmill and the mill house tea rooms, showing just how easy it is to make your own bread and cakes using Heckington Windmill flour.
Why not come along and see for yourself.

Keep watch for more information on the development of the bakehouse.....

8 Sail Facts

The original bakehouse was built shortly after the windmill in 1830.  The building that now stands on the site of the first bakehouse contains a small amount of brickwork from the original building.
