Welcome to Heckington Windmill

Set in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside, this Grade I listed windmill was built in 1830 with five sails. Damaged in a storm in 1890, the mill was repaired using eight sails, the cap and machinery from a local windmill in Boston.
The site hosts an award-winning Visitor Centre, Tea Room and Brewery, plus gardens, onsite bakehouse and museum. A perfect day out for everyone!
Note : The windmill is currently awaiting repairs following storm damage.
But we are still fully open for visitors to explore the windmill, and we grind our own flour using our oil engine driven set of stones on the ground floor of the windmill, our electric Austrian stones, and farm mills powered by our steam engine 'Maud' and other stationary engines.
