School VisitsSet in the heart of Lincolnshire, Heckington Windmill is an exciting educational resource for pupils of all ages.
As the only eight sailed tower windmill in the world, a visit can provide pupils with a range of learning opportunities, set in a unique environment. Our school packages focus on various aspects of the National Curriculum that schools may sometimes have difficulty in delivering. Each visit can be tailor-made to suit your needs. Visits are £5.00 per child. Teachers and helpers are free. Please email our schools and education team to see how we can help you plan your bespoke visit. [email protected] |
We offer these suggested Modules that can be
selected according to your targeted learning requirements. Modules are suitable for Reception, KS1 and KS2 pupils and allow for a mix of topics to be covered in one visit. Each module is approx. 45 mins in duration; we anticipate up to 3 modules would be chosen on rotation during a day visit, including time for lunch, orientation, etc. Please get in touch if you have a specific learning outcome for your pupils |
We have handling and collection boxes for schools and groups that are available to lend out to schools .
Boxes are included within the cost of a school visit and may be taken back to school for use during the week of your visit. They are also available for longer hire should you wish to focus on one or two topic. These are age appropriate boxes that allow for integrated learning with the national curriculum For more information contact: [email protected] |
