Frequently Asked Questions
Do you allow dogs?
Yes, dogs are allowed on site but not in the windmill or Edwardian Parlour in the tea rooms. We do accept well behaved dogs in the tea rooms conservatory (Guide dogs are permitted across the site)
Are there facilities for disabled?
There is a fully accessible lift for those of limited mobility - this provides access into the granary and ground floor of the windmill.
The Visitor Centre, Toilets and Tea Rooms all have disabled access.
The ground floor of the windmill is fully accessible, however there are wooden steps to access the upper floors that can be difficult for those with limited mobility.

Is the mill working at the moment?
Currently the windmill is awaiting repairs to the sails, cap and machinery following storm damage in 2018. We are hopeful that the millwrights will be able to carry out the repairs by 2023-2024.
Do you accept group visits?
Yes - absolutely. We have facilities for group visits during the week or at weekends. We can provide tours of the windmill, can arrange baking demonstrations, visits to the brewery and lunch in our tea rooms. You choose what options your prefer. Please see our Group and Schools page for more information.
