Accessibility

Fully accessible disabled toilet facilities are available in the Miller's House and on site in the main toilet block adjacent to the car park

A mobility lift is available to take visitors from the ground floor ticket entrance up to the Granary Visitor Centre which provides level access into the ground floor of the windmill.

The Miller's House Tea Rooms have full disabled & level access

The windmill itself has steep steps to the upper floors which may make access difficult those with restricted mobility. There is an interactive audio visual display for those unable to access the upper floors of the tower.

Comment from a visitor:  “What they have done is superb. A good car park with gravel surface, but with the plastic grid that keeps the stones in one place and means you can push a wheelchair. Accessible loo. Accessible brewery – hence the accessible loo. Accessible tea room in Miller’s House (with another accessible loo).
Accessible welcome area and shop, disabled lift to the exhibition, and access to the ground floor of the mill
........ it is the first time she has got into the ground floor of a mill in her wheelchair ......
A good welcome – HLF money very well spent.”
A perfect place to stop on the A17 and a day out with a difference!
