Lincolnshire Traditional Plum Bread
A delicious fruit loaf, based on the recipe of Myra Pocklington; the wife of the founder of Pocklington's Bakery in Louth, Lincolnshire. She would bake the Plumbread, allow it to cool then serve to the farm hands - covered in home churned butter and a slice of thick, cheddar cheese.
The Pocklington's Bakery family are descendants of our very own mill owner John Pocklington (1865-1941)
